Need some help in figuring out just exactly what I bought in this 68 Mustang. Engine block shows D8DE 6015 DA, a 250 CI 6 which I believe came out of a 78 Granada. Intake manifold shows OH25 14EOB5-6D90-BB, which is what? Carb shows Ford by Carter, 6X 0-2428 7031S 6-2224 64-1096. All this cobbled together mess is sitting in front of a C4 (I think) automatic trans with no kickdown lever, with a throttle cable to the carb. It does have the original rear end in it, cause I found the tag under 2" of grease. The 68 Mustang manual can't even come close to all this. Looks like I'm going to need all the help I can get to figure out where to start on this thing. Figure might have it on the road in three-five years at this rate. Thanks for any info you might have.

It's a 1980 head, sounds like it might have some of the '80 gear atop it still.

The block is '78 and if it's a 250, the water pump will have four securing bolts, rather than three.

Some of the other guys might chip in with their thoughts.

Regards, Adam.

Thanks Adam,

Guess I better get the Falcon handbook to see how to tune this thing.
