NEED INFO ON OLD FORD TOPLOADER TRANSMISSIONS!!

Hello. I'm new here so I'll make a brief intro. Into traditional hot rods, and everything vintage pre 1960. I own a '50 GMC and a '53 Buick Riveriara 2 door. Beginning to accumulate parts to build a period late '40s period hot rod.

So, on to the question,...

I need to know what transmissions were used on the Ford Pickups that had flathead sixes in them. I know they were toploaders, but that's it!!??

If you can give me a rundown of serial numbers, etc. that will be AWSOME!! A HUGE HELP!!!
