You had Ignitor II which was rumored to have lots of problems. The older Ignitor 1 (which is still available) has a very solid track record. I'm one of those rare few that had an issue with Pertronix, but that was 90% my fault. I still recommend the Ignitor 1 for a good solid, easy upgrade to start with. It was the very first upgrade I did on my mustang.
