what do you need blueprints for? if you are talking about blueprinting the engine all you need to know is the deck and bore and to make sure they are within spec and square to eachother.

I would like a set of block and head drawings though for making out brackets and all.

The good sound of a V8 is best obtained by installing a good V8.

Sixes have a marvelous song of their own when the exhaust is right. Think Jag XKE, Aston Martin DB5/6, Triumph TR250/6, or Mercedes 300SL. Magnificent noise, especially thru duals and at high speed. 8)

Gives me an idea though. How about a device that feeds a V8 sound signature thru amplifiers and into really big speakers? Hooked to the throttle and with a load sensing device, you could make your Civic sound like it has a blown big block! Shoud be a piece of cake with just a little digital processing. Al?

Like this? Some folks claim those are fan shrouds, but they look like great big Peaveys to me... :P

This might be the test mule for a hybrid Mustang. Electric motors with battery recharge thru a 1 liter turbo diesel. The speakers are there to make it sound like a GT. Look good, sound good, be green!

speakers?Honestly, think about rocks and things flying up at it.Plus if this is an all out race car then why waste the extra weight on speakers to make it sound like a race car when you can use the weight on a blower or eliminate it and hope for that extra tenth or thousandth of a second?

I like the speaker idea just for the looks on the faces ("talk about earthquake system") Ha.
Nice car too. Is that a fast one?

did you know that "gullible" isn't really a word?
really, i promise, go look it up in the dictionary, i'll wait

........
:?

Looks like a good one to me.

As for the woofer idea, I think it would be hard to do right. Think about the way a car with a bass system sounds as it goes by. loud when its coming, nothing really as it passes and then vibration on the way away. Real V8 sound is coming at you and gone all the same sound and oh so beautiful.

The electrical power required to run such a system to make it actually sound and feel believable would drag that motor right down.. The sound of a V8 comes from a V8.

Personally, I prefer the anti-noise aspect. If I'm installing speakers for outside, they'd be for noise cancelling.

i almost had a good sub setup for the V8 sound....something was wrongwith the way i hooked up the subs and amp or the power was pulsing or spmething, but it gave a real loud constant thumping noise...i fixed that...now it sounds like i got a turbo...when the RPMsgo up the turbo type noise goes with it....i think i need something rather than Pyramid brand amps and subs  ...
