I am in the market for a new oil pan or a good used one with the drain plug standard size, not stripped.

Mike at classic inlines offers the best pan, but it holds 7 quarts & the cost is in line for the quality, however the only new stock oil pan i could find is marketed by NPD. There repo is about $150.00.

Has anyone purchased one & is it oil leak proof where it fits the rear main cap & timing cover areas. Thanks Bill

I have a used one available. It's a little banged in (I think my truck was used as a 4x4 at some point), but the oil plug is original and OK!

I'm in the market too. i crawled under my wagon to change the oil. and guess what.........NO DRAIN PLUG!!! :bang: I guess i should have checked that when i got the new engine..

i had thought that he wasn't able to get any of those for some reason... supplier didn't want to make them... something
hadn't heard that he actually had more in stock, but that he was working on it, might want to verify before you order

as for anyone having one, i believe that MustangGeezer is running one so you could ask him, but don't quote me on that

last summer I just pulled the old oil pan from my old block to put in my car because the one in there was leaking badly. I kept toying with one of Mikes, but couldn't justify the price at the time.

My pan is still available. Ugly and a little banged up but cheap. It doesn't leak, and the oil plug is GOOD!

PM me if interested.

From the prices i'm getting for used pans & the cost of a taiwan repo, Mike's custom pan at classic inlines looks like the deal.

First holds more oil, already has the windage tray welded in along with a scraper, looks like you only get what you pay for.

I believe Mike's pans are imported from australia, so that means quality.

Product ID: HEP-200-PAN
High Energy Oil Pan w/Windage Tray (200ci only)

These square bottom 7 quart capacity oil pans feature a built in windage tray and oil scraper to reduce oil splash, foaming and parasitic drag. This increases horse power and aids in reducing the engine oil temperatures. Chrome plating an oil pan is not recommended as it will reduce the pans ability to dissipate heat. NOTE: For 200ci engines only. Bill

I was thinking about buying one of Mike's pans, but I was wondering:
Does having the larger sump require a longer/different pickup?
