New Oil Pump ?

I am putting my 1958 Ford F100 223 engine back together. Should I replace the oil pump?

Can't hurt old trucks with new parts, and its cheaper then a rebuild.

How are they rebuilt ? What parts faill? If I buy a new one is it usually remanufactured?

no no "a rebuild" this the whole motor due to oil pump failure. I would install a new oil pump
