New Valves, now I have Cam ??

Got the FSPP valves, they look great, I am glad I ordered them, nice and uniform and you can tell that they are quality valves when you hold them up to one another there isn't a hairwidths difference in them. Got my valve seals too, have yet to call the machinist to see what it will cost to put them in...But I wanted them anyhoo, those umbrella jobbers' just look to fragile. Okay, now for my ?--- I am thinking of ordering the ARC-268-10-DHS cam from FSPP...A little lopey I know but with the Holley 500 and the opening up of the head, a set of headers and a double roller, I think it will be a nice combo---but then I am a novice at this---remember too, that I may want to turbo-charge this thing a little later on. Feedback is appreciated. Also, I am thinking of going with the 1.6 non-roller rocker, what do ya'll think

Whoa!! yu're going in too many directions all at once. If you go with Mikes 268 cam you will not need 1.6:1 rockers the cam has all the lift you can use. In general it is beller to go with the desired lift in the cam rather than rockers as the higher the ratio the greater the stress on the fulcrum/shaft. The roller rockers are nice an may offer some other advantages though.

If you are going to go turbo later on, you'd be wise to plan for it now and choose a cam and CR that will compliment a turbo setup.

The umbrella seals are adequate for most builds. Other valve stem seals are available at a higher cost and most require machining.

That's my two cents, for what it's worth.
