All Small Six O2 location and headers

Good day all, I have a 65 (200ci) that I bought a few years back to for sentimental reasons. The short version of today’s question is with the Holley sniper 1100 should I go with the 6-1 header so the O2 sensor “sees” everything from all 6 cylinders or is the 6-2 okay and the sensor connect to the closest pipe only monitoring exhaust from 3? The O2 that comes with the kit doesn’t seem to have enough slack to make it to where the 6-2 would marry up.
I have purchased the American autowire harness and am installing it now. My desire is to install it the way I intent to keep it to keep the harness with as few cuts and patches as possible as this goes to the full Holley fuel and ignition system.
I haven’t called Holley yet but will this week to get their input as well. If you all have suggestions on a better route for all this I’m all ears right now and open to suggestions.

I have Classic Inline’s 6 into 2 header that I put a Y pipe on. My O2 for the wideband gage is mounted in the single pipe portion of the Y.

For the best results you would want to read all 6 CYL. I would say at this point in your build it is a must. My meter ( Fast ) said to put the sensor behind the collector ( in your case, the y pipe ) located a distance equal to the diameter of the collector. So I would use the diameter of the single outlet of the y pipe, use that measurement, and measure down the pipe that distance. Even if you have to modify the wiring
