What's this cap off? Any ideas? It's about 9½" across.

Also, this sandwich plate - shown from the tranny side. Ford four-potter?

Found one more thing (but deleted the picture - doh!): A single pot Girling master cylinder with a very factory-looking plastic height extender. Disc brake HR? Think it's 1" bore.

Who's game to punt on any of the above?

Trans bit sounds feasible; it came from a Mk1 Corty man.

Can't see any resemblance on the hubcaps to your picture! They are ribbed, that you nominated.

What about the master cylinder? Need a pic?

With Cortinas/Escorts and Capris with KentOHV, Pinto ohc or the Cologne V6 engines, they had

left hand starters on autos (C3, BW 35),
right hand starters on manuals (either the 115E box or the later Hummer 4-speed).

I can't remember what the plate looked like when I did the C3 swap to the TE 4.

You mean you could see the big photo of the Mini Hubcap??

Um, 9.5", you recon?

Hmmm. :? It's not the Dagenham Dustbin lid for a Ford Defect105E, is it?

.

From memory, the EH got the first of the big old long neck master cylinders extenders as an aftermarket response to a failed brake circuit. Extra fluid capacity gave you time to scream before you became the country side!

I did wonder if I'd popped them off a dumped XW... One is much rougher than the other. Want them?

Planned to just give 'em to the hubcap guy at the next swap meet I made - then laugh when I saw them unsold at $15 each or something, later in the year.

addo, that's a pretty long time to wait just for a laugh...
i mean, i've heard of long setups, but c'mon
:?

You need to watch more Euro movies. Sometimes the black humour is that the "recipient" never gets the joke's on them.
