Offenhauser Triple Intake Manifolds?

Doing some research and I'm not coming up with an answer. Does anybody know what the difference between an 5970 and 5205?
The break down is 5202 (60-69) and 5970 (70 and up). Why is there a year split, the heads to my understanding are interchangable with the later years (74 and up) having a larger log with better flow. It's likely simple, I'm just cant nail it down.

Also, are there any other options out there aside from the Offy?

Thanks, kb.

The split was the bigger intake log hole which all 250 engines had. The latger head apeared a year earlier, as the 250 was in fact an October 1967 item when it came out in selected 67 Fairlane based Ford pickups before the Ranchero, then some 68 Mustangs, and then the proper code 6, then L code 250 as a regular 1969 option. The 250 needed the bigger 1.6" hole to fit 25% more air in to make 155 hp gross. Some 68, 69 and 70 200 cube engines got the 250 head, so its generally said a 60-69 engine has a small log, 1.3" port and 1.3" hole log head for the 5202 tri power(60-69), then for the 5970 (70 and up) it is the large log. Then Ford started doing more, with the hex and flat top logs, and Offenhauser no longer make one for every type on log head.

So mine being a 72 200ci makes it a large log head. That explains the split, the radius of the log dictates which kit to use. What do you mean by "Offenhauser no longer make one for every type on log head"? So does that mean there is only one type kit for all 200-250 heads now?

to 69 is a round log and 69 up got a flat log.

"large", "hex", "flat top", "round" logs....
is there a "sticky" on here or something (or the CiL site? or elsewhere?) to help with this nomenclature, the years, etc?

Looked familure, I already have one rebuilt and it's doing fine. It took me three tries (tear down and re-assembled) but I finally got working well including the choke. Are the air filter(s) set up custom made? Also, are you using a stock fuel pump? (Thanks!)
