Oil Presure

How much oil pressure should my 65 200 have after a full rebuild
Thanks

Well, that depends on how you're bearing clearances were set up. I'd say at least 40 psi at cruise, and probably no less than 20 psi idle when hot. The general rule of thumb for adequate oil pressure is 10psi per 1,000rpm.

At idle my relatively new 200 runs right at 50psi cold, and settles down to 42psi once at normal operating temperature with 10w-30 Castrol GTX.

My recently rebuilt 200 runs about 60 psi when warm at idle, when cold is over 70. I am not sure if this is not too much?
