Oil Slinger--NEED Help

Do you need a oil slinger? The dumb@#! mechanic that rebuilt my engine a long time ago installed it backwards and I found it seperating. when I tore it down. I called auto zone but no luck, Where can I get this part??

I have the inline 200

Call around to a couple of local automotive machine shops and see if they might have one lying about. It might also still be availble new from Ford.

when i took my 200 apart for rebuild it did not have one. probably someone forgot to put it back on or something. i found one from a mustang shop in LA. some people told it was was better to have but not necessary. i guess it helps get oil on the timing chain.

i doubt auto zone or ford will sell them. try napa but i doubt they'll have it either. call mustang shops near you. or look for mustang shops on the web. you should be able to find one. if i get a chance i'll try to see if i have the name of the place i got mine from. they seemed to have a lot of old mustang parts laying around.

I found it a a local junk yard. That for the info though 8)
