I just got my engine and the guys who rebuilt it said that I dont need the oil slinger put in. is this true? and what is this for? they said 95% of the time they dont put it back in...
I've heard it isn't necessary, but I figure Ford must have known something about building engines too. On any engine I build, if it had one from the factory, it goes back in during the rebuild. If it helps distribute oil to the timing chain and gears, why remove it. :
