I'm just about to finish rebuilding my 200 67 mustang engine and found there is no oil slinger . Is this something I need or can I just leave it out? Thanks for your help.
You could leave it out, but it's better to have one. It keeps all the excess oil off of the front seal. As long as the seal is in good shape, no problem, but once it begines to wear, what's normally a little seepage could become a large leak.
