OK, one more Duraspark question........

I ordered the dizzy, cap, rotor and coil today. I've been reading the "HEI Crossbreed Ignition" how-to from Bronco.com and have one nagging question.
What is a Continuous Hold Solenoid or where in the wiring scheme would you put a 15 amp relay and why?

Thanks some more,
CrashBob

You'd put it on the pink resistor wire from the ignition switch to get a full 12V to the ignition without tracing the wire through the harness and up under the dash to replace it.

This is basically the idea.

When installing a DUI dizzy, the old coil is removed and replaced with a SPST 15amp relay. A new HOT wire is run from the battery, through the relay to the dizzy. The old coil wire is then used to trigger the relay (when the ignition switch is ON), thus allowing full voltage to the distributor (bypassing the resistor).

If you have dim or flickering headlights, and you can use the same principle to get full voltage to the lamps.
