All Small Six Old threads

I am installing a 200 in my 60 falcon and am installing a 2100 1.02 carb. I searched for carb linkage for some suggestions on how to do it. Most of the threads were old from the early 2000 which is ok with me as the questions were already asked and answered.

The problem was all of the pictures were Xed out and could not be opened. I was disappointed; so my question is what good are old threads with good information if the the pictures can not be accessed?

Can someone enlighten me?

Pics are X'd out because 'picture hosting service websites' come and go over the years or implement increasing service charges until getting abandoned...

aside from modding original rod and fulcrum linkages for use, later Ford used 'over the valve cover' cable pedal setups on most Six cars. Available sporadically on EBay, asking around on Ford forums will turn up a lot from (ill fated) V8 swaps. Sources are from Mustangs to Mavericks, Comets, Fairmont, Fairlane etc starting late 60's. The over-VC bracket and accel pedal can use original cable or aftermarket cables.

Thanks for the response. I did not want to go over the valve cover and change to a cable. Might be the easiest way. I can make a bracket. Where does the other end of the cable attach to??

I was thinking of using as much of the original linkage as possible and make a bell crank arrangement on the right side of the engine.

I have to think some more about this.

I have thought about this too. Use original 67 mustang linkage, then make a 90* bend. Keep us posted

... early linkage typically had a 90 degree fulcrum for Holley carbs, I did simply form (bend) original rods to fit Weber on the Falcon 170,
