I want to know what the combustion chamber volume of the oz 2v head?

I have a oz 2v and I am going to put in the 1.72/1.5 valves and I need to know the CC so i can machine the head.

stock log head looks like 52cc and CR of 8.1

I'd like CR about 8.5:1.

can anyone help??

let me know
thanks,
Pete

the only way to know is to cc it yourself. don't trust that the combustion chamber is the same size as the factory says, the head may have been milled before, or it could vary from the factory specs. they're not always spot on.

cc it yourself and go from there.

Factory is 58-ish. Most have been skimmed a fair bit in the last 37 years.

After mine had the larger American 250 valves installed, .015" removed for assuring a flat surace, the combustion chambers unshrouded, and professionally ported and polished, my Oz head measures a little than 54 cc's and a little less than 55 cc's in each chamber. Mine also flows 160.5 cfm at .500 lift on the intake and 126 cfm at .500 lift on the exhaust. That's not as good as the newer aluminum head, but very satisfactory for what I have in the head and intake.
