Im looking into buying platinum plugs for my 79 mustang with approx 750 miles on the rebuilt engine. Im not really doing it for performance but for the reliability of platinum. In the case of wires I want something that looks good and works good, for under 50 bucks. I like the look of blue but on Napa Online they cost 85 bucks, *ouch* :( . Just wondered about any ideas of what wires to buy, or maybe somewhere to look. And I definately don't want to be worrying about it again anytime soon.

Thanks

Try advance, you can get the Accel performance 8.8 universal wires and boots for like $30.

Now you will have to put your own ends on the plugs (all the ends come in the box). No biggie if your into puting the effort into the small details.

Also if your into the look, get some wire conduit too. They make it in several colors, we carry blue, yellow, red, and black at work (I work at an Advance Auto Parts). It really dresses up under the hood, and you don't have loose wires laying around.

I would go with DaGr8Tim and get the Accel performance 8.8 universal wires and boots at Advanced (~$30) and then get a set of Bosch Platinum plugs - they are pregapped (and Permanently gapped), the provide excellent performance benifits, they are Pure Platinum, and you can get a set of 6 for about $12! (I got those plugs for my car from advanced too)
