I installed a Pertronics ignition and coil this weekend, WOW what a difference. I reccommend this to everyone out there. I also swapped out my generator for an alternator. What a great swap you eliminate a bunch of cluter and get 14.38 volts everywhere.

I have another odd question. My 64 Fairlane has the wrong bucket seats in it. Th eseat had a ID tag on them and it reads: C40B-6568100-0
AMP-1965
Does anyone know how to decode a seat?
Thanks to everyone who answers these questions, Raymond

They may officially be the "wrong" seats, as Ford had an interesting "hmmm, what's leftover at the end of the year" policy. Towards the end of a model year, if bucket seats for the fairlane were running low, it would not be unusual for the line to be stocked with whatever seats were handy that day. On the other hand C4OB- translates out to:
C4 = 1964
O = Fairlane
B = body parts group
So they are likely the right seat frames, at least.
