Pistons for 200 CI

The stock ones are dished, yes, but are the 2.3 pistons identical except for the dish? What about pin position, ring distances from top of piston Etc?

Dished: 3.680 bore, 2-5/64, 1-3/16 Ring Grooves; 1.500 CD; 0.9125 Pin Dia., dished .105" deep x 2.320" dia.

FlatTops: 3.680 bore, 2-5/64, 1-3/16 Ring Grooves; 1.500 CD; 0.9122 Pin Dia., flat top

The only difference between the dished & the flat top piston if i remember right is the pin ofset.

The dished is .060 & the flat top is .090. I recommend checking this since its been a couple of years since i compared them.

The more offset will give you more low end torque with a tradeoff of maybe slightly less top end power, but the increase in compression more than makes up for that. Bill

The true diffrence is the compression with the flat top... I have 48CC chambers as far as I could calculate... I need more than 9.2 to 1 comp.

I am in the process of making the Fastest 1961 Falcon Moredoor naturally aspirated 200 the WORLD has ever seen with the original integral head. :)
