I called looking to buy a bowl vent assy. from them and end up getting a 2 minute lecture on the fact that putting a 2bbl carb on a 1 bbl manifold won't work. He told me to relearn the laws of physics and that I would have flat spots and hesitation. I of couse asked him if he heard of Fordsix.com and told him many people have done it. He atleast explained to me what the bowl vent assy does before I told him my application. Sorry I had to vent a bit.

I'm with you LaGrasta. He is now making his own 1100 reproduction and he is pushing them hard! ...kinda one of those "not always right but never in doubt" sorta guys...at least in my experience.

Where'd we put that sticky about Pony Carbs?

Remember: STOCK.

Anything else is wandering off the rez.

When I called to get a part for my 66 conv 200, I told him it was a 68 coupe with a 289.

No problem getting Autolite 2100 parts then...

Damn that used 2100 runs so much better than my "Pony Carb 1100" on my Mustang.

mine too the 2100 runs much better than any of the 1bbls I have had

He was an ahole in N.Y. now he is an ahole in AZ.

By the way he now has a column in the MCA magazine.

To give him the benifit, what he said in the last issue made sense.

Time will bring out the real J.E.

The guy who I talked to at Pony (John was his name) over the phone was a real pompous @sshole  . Sounds like things haven't changed much there. He was/is a real piece of work. Besides their stuff not working, dealing with that d!ckhead topped off the whole experience :x . Sorry... I had to rant too!!! :P I do feel better though

tanx,

hey guys...has anyone used the 2300 holley 350 cfm carb. on a 200 six with 6-2 header? pony carb guy said stick with stock 1 barrel doesn't seem right. summit has holley for 249.00 sounded reasonable to me. which adapter would be best? i planned to go with a man. choke. will i have dist. prblems or kick-down problems with my ford-o-matic?

Yeah John was his name.
superheat: measure your post centers to find the correct adapter. I think the early sixes used one adapter and the later ones used a different one.
