As far as I know there's not a diffrence between the cranks... In an automatic application the 'hub' or the 'snout' of the torque converter fits in the place in the center of the crank where the pilot bearing or bushing goes in a manual app.
 
i just put a 3 speed toploader in my 73 comet and all i had to do is put the pilot bushing in the crank. fit right in.
