Premium with lead additive or regular without lead question

Hello,
After all the work I did recently making my motor look original, paint, decals, replacing the entire cooling system, hoses, thermostat, heater core, radiator, water pump, I find that my 65 Mustang Fastback which by all accounts is original, does not have the original motor. Up until the time I learned this, I was running premium (93) with a lead additive.
So, can anyone tell me if I can run regular (87) and without the lead?
Also, did I do harm adding the lead? I bought it in late June of this year.

Thanks.

If the engine is running a stock CR, you can get by with regular without lead. If you the only issue is you will wear the exhaust valve seats a little quicker, but not that much. Next time you get the head or engine rebuilt, have hardened valve seats installed and you'll no issues at all.

I run 92 octane since my compression ratio is at 9.5:1. I've run 89 with no problems though.

i am running 92 with lead becaus ei dont know if I have hardened seats...

runs like a rocket....

Seriously, even if you don't know about the valve seats, the difference isn't that major. You'll lose maybe 5-10% life of the valve and chances are the engine will need to get rebuilt before it's an issue.

I'm not a big fan of putting Lead into cars. While people say it's better for the engines, it really wasn't. It lead (no pun intended) to other problems and issues with the engines.
