First of all for what type of carb is it? Is it a Holley 2300 (Autolite 2 BBL) or is it for a Weber DGV?? They have different base plates.

Also I'm guessing that you are still running an original 1966 head, those come with the 1 1/2" opening, Cliffor also refers to these as the "small" base adaptor.

Just give thema a call they should help you out

Get the #2300 adaptor for the 1.5" hole log head. That oughta do it!

Check the link by clicking on the Ford.Six.Com header. There is a very good picture list of the Holley/Weber adaptor. The Holley 2300 350 or 500 cfm 2-bbl is better suited to the 1.75" head, but your head will be just fine anyway. Here's a picture.

Even though its the smaller Holley/Weber, Phil notes some very important points.

The Schjeldahl brothers , http://falconperformance.sundog.net/about.asp, tend to favour the annular discharge Ford/Autolite 2-bbl 2150 carb, which fits the same adaptor. You've got heaps of options here!
