Just have a few ?'s, someone may have a few thoughts on this....I had been looking for a chrome valve cover for my 200ci, but was told they do not displace or carry heat as well as the stock one. The only reason I can think of that heat would be relevant would be the cover getting too hot and warping. Is this even true / something to be concerned with?

Also, where can I locate one of these valve covers and ball park what they might run cash-wise?

Thanks!!!!

they are all over ebay

about $30-40
NPW had them too...not hard to find

as for warping...depends...how hot do you get your engine?

I have them to, I'll try to post some pics either tonight or tomorrow. And mine come with the breather cap, gromet, and oil cap.

Thanks for the answer....As for how hot my engine gets, I doubt very seriously if mine would be getting too hot, I only drive an average of 25-35 miles per month, then only about 8 miles at a time...

Am going to Ebay to see if I can find me one...maybe make the little car go faster...(lol)

Scrap Ebay....I just saw the message above this one...get me some pics and prices, please!!! Would rather buy from people who know what they are doing!

The only problem I had with my chrom valve cover was it was a royal PITA to get it to stop leaking oil. I ended up putting my original one back on.

A friend gave me a tip on getting chrome water necks to stop leaking.
Sand off the chrome on the gasket suface. this will give the gasket a better grip on the less slippery surface.
