I know some of us have experience adapting TBIs to the small six. I'm working my way through that process and building a parts list. Planning on using a GM throttle body and GM 1227747 ECM. Now, working from the back.

Does anyone have a specific brand and or part number for an externally mounted fuel pump? I've seen references to the Airtex # E-8094 and the Master # E2182. So, what have folks used?

Also interested in experience with fuel filters and connections. The GM fuel filters (e.g. for 4.3) use a specific threaded coupling. Again, any experience?

Thanks,

It's an awesome, cheap, realiable system hometown. You won't regret it. Big Frank is running a Walbro(not sure if that's how you spell it) external inline fuel pump. I'll look at the manual and see what the fuel pressure should be. I think it's from 15-25 #s(I'll narrow it down when I have a chance to see the manual). I do know that the TBI regulates the pressure once the fuel reaches the unit. It's 12 #s.

Just make sure your fuel filter is of good quality. Don't use spare change to buy this valuable deal.

Take some pictures when/or if ya can...be cool deal to see your progress...
