Quick mounting question...

Can I mount my borg 4 speed box from an 85 xf spac onto a efi engine fron an auto xf (dont know the year). Are there any mods required. It is an engine transplant.

if your putting the 4 speed onto another xf engine it will fit,but you'll need bellhousing,clutch etc.

Also need a pilot bearing if the motor your bolting your 4 speed was an auto

Goin to use the flywheel off the old engine.

You certainly will need the old (manual) flywheel, but my understanding is you'll need a spigot bush for the auto crankshaft.

I'm currently building up a 250 from an auto XE to put in my manual XF wagon, so if I'm wrong someone please tell me! I haven't yet dismantled the XF...
