Radiator hosing and the spring

Ok well as i've learned while looking at the radiator hoses offered at napa and kragen, none of htem have the springs that they should have in them. So i was wondering what do you guys do to solve that problem? Me and my friend were thinking of going to a hardware store and finding a spring that is big enough to get stuck in the hose so it wont bend and also wont send the spring into the engine.

The spring realy isn't nessary now a days as some hoses are reenforced.. get one of the ribbed hoses and you'll be fine.. the spring is to stop the hose from colasping when under high flow..

Well we'll see, the problem then would be if i could maneuver the hose around to fit. I was hoping to try and use hoses that were the same shape as the original, cause then i know they fit.

Yes that why I say it don't matter much anymore and there made out of better rubber and don't colaspe as easyly..

If you buy the fitted hoses, even the newer ones don't need springs anymore. When you get it, try to collapse it, it won't happen. I ordered mine from www.npdlink.com
