Steve, The power loss is minimal,the car is built for comfort with air-con not speed ifn the boy needs to tramp it I would imagine he would turn it off,but seriously,there are some things to do ,like positioning it to cooler spot away from exhaust, a bit put heat wrap around exaust good insulation etc....PS..ALL FORDS ARE COOL ARE,NT THEY...Brownman
 
In Sydney traffic, I'll put comfort ahead of excess speed anyday. Too many ways you can lose licence points.
