Remote Induction Carter RBS?

I'm wondering if it possible to fit the classic inlines Remote Induction kit to a Carter RBS carb using a Mr. Gasket 6411G Air Cleaner Adapter Ring and Riser Kit?
I measured the inside of the throat of my carb and its 2 1/4" -- the outside is just under 3"
Does anyone know if this might work?

I probably will not contribute much to your question, but make sure there are no hood clearance problems, because you are adding a riser as well as a 2.25" tall carb hat. I am looking at something like this for my setup, but I have major hood clearance problems.
