Your "Shoebox Ford" is a 1950 Custom Deluxe Fordor (body style C73 ). The data plate(*BOEG147046*) shows: "B"=flathead V8(239 cubic inches), "O"= 1950 model, "EG"= edgewater assembly plant, and "147046"= the sequential number car off the assembly line. If you can get the "cowl code" located above the firewall/cowl seam, I can give more info on your car like the interior, body color, the day/month it was produced.

Hi.
Thanks You very much for Your help. I be very grateful You for make any informations about this car available for me. I am interesting especially in Vmax, measurement, combustion of fuel. I have two engines for this car, first V8 and R6 witch is already in working order. Now I am schearching parts for V8. I need to find 2 piston and 1 connecting rod for engine NE310. This parts aren`t available in Poland so that I ask You for help in this case. I want to buy this parts they can be used.

I am looking forward to hearing from You,
With kidnest regards,

You can get engine parts from Joblot automotive in Queens Village, NY
They have a website, and you can order over internet or phone.

Very nice. I'm getting used to the color scheme, but it doesn't look bad. I think it would look great with fender skirts and a visor. If I'm not mistaken you have an overdrive relay on the firewall and a lock out cable comming out to the outside of the driver's side fresh air duct. If you are converting a non overdrive car you probably want to get a 4.10 rear axle (if your car doesn't have it already) instead of the standard 3.73. That wouldn't be an eight cylinder bullet in the grill would it? All together a very nice looking machine.

Here are a couple pictures of the sedan I used to own (I had to sell it). Mine was the Deluxe model which was the base line standard car. It had 16 in wheels, no chrome around the windows, etc.

That is so cool to see that car come together basically right in front of my eyes. It goes to show that I'm clearly not taking enough pictures of my project.
After the Ranchero, after the Cyclone convertible, after the Cyclone hardtop, i getting a shoebox Ford next!
