Could a regular conventional muffler be reversed?, the reason I ask is my Dad has a stainless steel muffler with single in dual out and I was wondering if it could be used with my 6 into 2 header, duals to the muffler then single out. :?

Anything is possible. is it good? I would think not. Thebaffles are designed to allow air flow in a particular directions. Reverse teh are flow, and those baffles now become air dams and severly restrict the flow of exhaust gases. just spend $20 and get a Y pipe from FSPP.

Yeah I know, just used to using what's around but, I did spot a "Y" pipe like the one mentioned at a body shop but much longer, there wasn't anyone around to find out more info on it :?

I ran into this issue when doing my exhaust work. I wanted duals and i wouldent settle for less. I ended up with a V-force (camero) muffler that has the option of being reversed. This allowed me to put 2 2/4 inch pipe in (that helped with my flow) and then dual 2 1/2 out, not only does it look nice, it sounds awesome!!
