For a 1965 200 engine will the rock arms and such from a 170 fit and in what year did the rockers become adjustable?

Howdy Mannella?

Yes. All 144, 170, 200 & 250 rocker arms are interchangeable. All are a 1.5:1 ratio. Adjustible rockers were standard on all early 144, 170 and 200 sixes from 1960 through 1964 engines that had solid lifter cams. Many 1964 and '65 engines came from the factory with adjustible rockers even though they had hydraulic lifters. There were very subtle changes to rockers over the years, the most notable being larger side oil holes in later non-adjustible rockers- which was a good thing.

Push rods have to match the type of rocker being used. Adjustible rocker arms require a pushrod with a ball on one end and a cup on the other. Non-adjustible have a ball on both ends.

Note- 250 pushrods are longer than any others and do not interchange with 144, 170 or 200 rods.
