Rocker arm question

ALright actually it's the pedastal. The very front one has the oil return hole in it right? off to the side? I just got a new to me rocker arm shaft and the hole up there is plugged with a piece of aluminum, maybe steel rod. Soooooo now ofr the $64,000 dollar question. Should I leave it there or remove it? is there any benefit to having it there?

I purchased a NOS adjustable rocker-arm with the same side Hole drain, because the arm is new the hole is not blocked, should I block it? I also have $1 a month to give.

Andrew, did you drill the oil-holes to a larger size? I haven't taken the arm apart yet, but is there an oiling hole missing?

Nope I haven't touched the holes, do I need to drill them larger? I was really suprised when I got the arms and shaft how clean they are, I am just going to pull the arms off and clean everything with a quick wash in laquer thinner. There are no deposits in the holes or the shaft!

Im not sure the falcon performance six handbook has a chapter on enlarging the oil-holes. Also there is a sticking on this forum suggesting to enlage the holes.

My old non-adjustable rocking arm seems to be clean also, but everything I read says enlarge the oiling holes.
