Roller lifters

Any roller lifters that fit our engines? Is it doable? Been reading on several sites about the anti-wear additives in modern oil being reduced or eliminated and am wondering if roller lifters are a possibility for our engines.

Which mfg's, and when, are eliminating the Zinc additive that is causing the hubbub - that's what I want to know FIRST. Because I will immediately never buy it again, or do I already have a problem with the oil I recently changed in my cars?. The manufacturers should have to put warnings on the labels.

Does this mean that basically any engine NOT roller cam or lifter is TOAST?. Are all "late model" cars roller cam or lifters?. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me but it has been a constant thread on all the Tech groups I visit.

Meanwhile I just bought a six gallon case of Rotella-T 15/40 . The Diesel HD oils are supposed to still have the additive.

Is it just a way to eliminate all pre-OBDII cars?.

8) if you look for oil bottles without the starbusrt on them that indicates the new ratings, you will get oil with higher levels of the needed additives for flat tappet cam engines. the hew ratings for late model roller tappet engines are g-4(iirc) or something to that effect. you are good to go with the rotella oils also, or any goos diesel rated oil.
