Score from the junkyard

So I went to the junkyard Saturday, initially looking for some seats, when I saw a Falcon. I took a peek inside and there it was, a 200. I talked to the junkyard guy and he said I couldn't have the engine cause it was going to scrap :( but I asked him about the valve cover and he said $10. So I got it. The reason is, it caught my eye - it says "Powered by Ford" in a cool little script writing thing. I know it didn't come on the mustang, but could someone give me a quick pointer as to when/what these came on? I figure I'll clean it up, repaint it, and put it on mine.

I am also very curious about this too because when I bought my 67 mustang it had that same valve cover. I will also be repainting mine, although I would love to get it chromed which there is a place right down the road that does it but I dont know how much.

I might have mine confused with what you guys are talking about mine says "powered by" then it has the ford oval and it is in a box

I've got two later model 200's sitting in my garage (one big bell, one small) and they both have the "Powered by Ford" in a little rectangle like Abandoned67 described.

Oh yea, mine is different than that.

I'll try to get a picture tonight, and hopefully I can get it all cleaned up, but it says "Powered by Ford" and I think the 'leg' of the 'F' comes down and underlines 'Powered by'.

I don't know. That's kinda confusing. I'll get a pic.

I want one of those really bad if anyone has one for sale or sees one somewhere for cheap grab it and ill buy it from you.

Next time you go if you find another one definitly pick it up, I think that putting a JET HOT ceramic coating on it would be cool too. If I can get one that is problably what I will do.
