All Small Six Scv removal on Holley 1940

This relates to all small sixes
I’ve seen the removal for newer distributors on the 1100, but haven’t been able to find anything on the Holley 1940, want to upgrade the dizzy on my 66 mustang to something with mechanical and vacuum advance, maybe eventually upgrade to sniper but for now the Holley is working just fine.
Thanks
Joe.

You could always use intake manifold vacuum to run a dual advance distributor. Then it doesn't matter how the carb is set up, SCV or no SCV. My car ran great like that. There are some arguments against it, but many people are fine with it too. It sure worked for me.

I would think your carb would be fine. Just plug the unused vacuum lines. Then get a mechanical advance only distributor.

I have been running a Holley 1940 carb and a DUI distributor for a number of years. I have a vacuum line running from one of the manifold ports to the DUI. My understanding is the DUI has both mechanical and vacuum advance. It's been running fine. I have a '66 Mustang with a 200ci.
