Wanted Seeking new project

Kind of a long shot but here it is: I’m contemplating a new project.

What I’m looking for is a 1964-65 Ford Falcon 2 dr Hardtop. Not a sedan, or a 4 door or a wagon- a hardtop. Powertrain is unimportant, but the car should be solid. I’m too cheap to buy something nice, so I’ll stress this should be in the project category, but something complete and saveable.

If you happen to notice one of these cars that may be available, please forward any info you can. I’m not on the book/face thing, so their marketplace is not an option for me directly. Those of you especially in the PNW please keep an eye out. Realistically, travelling beyond a state or two isn’t feasible.

Thanks

Cool find @Otto. That’s a nice place to start. I was looking at Falcons, Comets and Meteors before I found my Mustang. I would have taken any one of them but I was specifically looking for a manual transmission inline 6 car. A V8 car is always fun though.

Love it.
Here's a Falcon Sprint I once owned. It came to me with a BOSS 302, which I sold off to totally pay for the car, and replaced it with a 240 big six.
I sold it to Canadians who put a 460 in 'er. Ran nines
Fun car
Fun times

Good luck with your project. If the V8 is the original engine (I noticed the 260 badges) note that it has a 5-bolt bellhousing pattern vs nearly all the SBF V8 that used a 6-bolt bell after 1965.

Yes, it was a 260 car. I purchased it without an engine so it’s a blank canvas starting out. Currently looking for a 5.0 & T5 package.

I noticed it was a little light-weight in the front end and suspected it was without an engine. You can't go wrong with a 5.0 & T5 powertrain in such a light car.

Also, it really looks straight and the door jam spacing on the passenger side looks pretty much perfect to my eyes. The driver side takes all the wear and tear but if it's like the passenger side, you are in great shape for your project.
