Seven Main 170 in Broncos

I was wondering, did all 170s installed in the Early Broncos have seven main bearings?

I spoke to an EB vendor who stated that all of his 170 cores were seven main, but an individual
selling one out of his 69 Bronco stated that his was a four main.

I wouldn't have been hard for Ford to cast a seven main bearing crank for the Bronco since a 170
used the same block as a 200 in the pre-seven days.

What do you all think, or know first hand?

8) i dont know about broncos specifically, but the 170 could have either 4 mains, most common in the early cars, or 7 mains, most common in the later cars. since the engines are interchangable, it is quite possible that some one pulled a 170 from something else and put it in the 69 bronco. that or the person is assuming it is a 4 main crank.

I have a 1961 falcon and it has a 170 7 main. I always thought it was from a fairlane or something, what would be the casting numbers if it was from a bronco, or would they be the same?
