I finally put a tach in my fairlane, so I'm curious where you all do your shifting at. I have the 3.03 3sp and usually shift around 2000-2200 rpm. I think im pretty easy on the car doing that. I'm guessing the highest usefull rpms is around 3500, after that you have to lose some power correct? Just kind of curious :? .

Depends on the cam-Im able to spin mine to about 4500 or so before i drop some torque numbers. Not to sound stupid, but are your tach readings under full throttle?-If so, those numbers sound low and the switch on back of the tach may not be set for a 6 cyl.

No, these readings are definitly NOT at WOT. These are normal, driving around town #s. Im am curiose though what you guys think is good for shifting at WOT.
