I've just bought a Falcon 250ci engine for not a lot of money (http://www.easypichost.com/pages/107) but it's been standing for a long time...and I'm in England.

Ford dealers over here won't stock the bits I need to get it going, so I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a shop/dealer that sells engine rebuild bits (piston rings/valves/gaskets etc) and who wouldn't mind shipping to England. I've checked out some online places but not found anything yet...

cheers

It might not be my place to volunteer someone's services but as much stuff as people on here buy and ship around the world shipping you the parts you need should just be a walk in the opposite direction from Oz.

Just figure out what you need and what size for stuff like pistons and rings and bearings and call around for shipping prices. I would think shops there could do the machine work. As long as you didnt have to ship the crank, rods, or head cost should not be that bad.

Then it would just be a matter of transferring funds. Several have Paypal accounts or you could do a International Money Order. Then it would be a matter of purchasing and then packaging and shipping to England.

As far as a online place yhave you tried Performance Automotive Warehouse? Acording to their website they ship International and they used to carry parts for Ford 170 -250 inlines.

I would call them and see what kind of price they have for their parts and then see what the guys here can get it for.

The link is http://www.easypichost.com/pages/107, and wow, what an engine!

I notice it has the low mount starter, and six bolt block.

It's the US 250, not the Aussie one. Some bits are interchangable, but not all. Please contact
MustangSix and addo if you need a list of parts. Some are diffrent... big end bearings are not excactly the same, valves have differnt guide sizes, and little things like water pumps and timing chains vary. But its such a cool engine. Far out!

There is enough in common between each engine to help you out. Note it has the six bolt bell housing, and low-mount starter. Windsor and Cleveland V8 transmission bits fit on the back of your engine, but do keep your stater and flexiplate (flywheel) if you can.

Read this too, it out lines lots of the differences, Rob. http://fordsix.com/crossflow.htm
