Sideways-mounted Weber stalls on left turns - why exactly?

For a variety of reasons, I'm thinking of going back to an 1100 1-bbl carb

That's how I solved my left hand turn stall/bog with my bored out HW 5200- now I have a 74 Carter RBS that seems to be just fine.

I'm wondering if there are certain carbs out there that run fine on these engines without the stalling?


Who else is suffering from the stalling on turns and what kind of carb to you have?



I have the trans-dept carb adaptor and a 2 bbl Demon 350cfb. The carb faces the passenger side headlight and the engine will stall on right hand turns.
