Since I got the duraspark II to mate with the MSD-6AL I decided to try another new design spark plug. I found the NGK iridium ix WR51X 7510 spark plug. This plug is very new on the market & has a pin sized iridium center electrode. Since I installed these plugs my idle is smoother & the throttle has better response. The cost is about $6.00 a plug depending where you buy it.
If you don't mind spending the extra $$ the results will be very much appreciated.
I know there are some diehards out there that will not try this plug, but thats up to you. if you want to go to the next level go for it, you will not be dissapointed. The flame kernal is superior to the standard design spark plug. William

Will have to look into it when I get her runnin! I go thru plugs like its fun tho, might wait till we get it tuned real nice, lol

Hi William,

Did you adjust the gap or leave as is? I may have to try them out. Now that the weather is good up here, I've been driving the Mustang. She's running great with the Holley 500cfm best and the strong valve springs. I should be heading back to the track sometime in May to measure the improvements over last year. Are you still going to try out the 500cfm carb? You mentioned something about posting some comparison numbers between various carbs. I'd be curious to see/hear your opinion.

...........Cheers, Alex

Alex, I now have the 7448-350 holley set up to perfection.
Yes I plan to put the 4412-500 holley back on soon, still need to do some choke pulloff changes & fast idle cam mods. That carb open so much throttle at once I already removed the high step off the fast idle cam.
When done I will compare the difference between them.
I have the plug gap at .055 William
