My car looses all fuel pressure after I have been driving for a while... Most of the time it is fine but after I have been driving for a bit it will shut off and not want to start back up because there is no gas at the carb.
I have a brand new fuel pump (just replaced it thinking that it would fix the problem) the sending unit in the tank is new I have a inline pressure gauge right at the carb and it reads 5psi most of the time (when it stalls due to no gas I can get it started momentarily and it reads 0) I have 2 fuel filters one at tank and a clear glass one with a replaceable element next to the pressure gauge. If I leave the car off and come back a little while later is starts up just fine and runs for a while until it gets no pressure again.
I cant figure out why all of the sudden no gas is getting to the engine? any ideas?
