Stupid Question For The Day

Classic Inlines aluminum intake manifold. Two ports on flat portion below carb. Are these heating ports? As in running heater hose thru them to warm carb? Been running all summer with them plugged, but having some difficulty running since it turned cold. My cooling system is working almost too good, never breaks 160 degrees at cruising speeds.

Guy's, is it really so dumb a question no one will answer? I know there are heater spacers on stock carbs. I've looked thru pic's on the CI site and haven't found one with anything hooked to these ports.

I dunno, but perhaps if this question was in the Aluminum head forum maybe Mike would chime in with some clarification. Or you could just email him directly.
