Swapping a rochester 2b onto my 67 200ci?

I've got a 67 ford inline 6. Would you suggest swapping out the single v with a different 2v carburater. Do you know of a 2v carburater + adapter kit.
Thank you for the information
Jeff

jcom4179, the Rochester "small base" 2 barrel has a much smaller footprint than the Ford 2 barrels. And it is an excellent carb in it's own right, was factory supplied on millions of GM vehicles for over 20 years.
The following adapter works on a truck-6 with the 1 barrel log intake. Someone with small-6 knowledge would have to say if it would work on your car. I predict it would work, you may have to extend the holes inward on the one barrel side to get it to mount. No biggie. The pics are of the Rochester carb being considered. They had two versions, the larger cfm carbs had a larger base. Check this if you shop for one.

some like to support a guy who caters to us (return his favor):

I C somewhere on here (a ‘modern thread’ not a re-open) the giant
Rochester 1v I like as to its tq (I run a 1st gen bronk). Look for the big
MONOJET letters right in the frnt of the pic. It may be the largest 1v made?

1). 2v = 2100 (best 2v ever made?) Very tunable (performance/ur specific vehicle)...
2). progressive? holly/weber 32/36 (sz of the 2 jugs) or 2300 (same but mirror
image for mount w/pass side intake). Also known as the pinto carb (as it was w/the
Lima x-flow 4cyl). Runs on 1v for economy ‘progresses’ to 2v when U ‘get on it’...

I look for the ID stampings (usually not castings) to ID the car these came on (most any carb)
compair that to the ci displacement on my rig of choice. If there's a close match, no need for re-jeting.

Mike’s carbs provides the raw data (lists of ID#s for carbs) on line. He’s great: siad to me “I now have over
a thousand vids on-line" (which can B used/are made for... guiding carb rebuilds w/his products).

Hey Frank, thank you for the ink and the images. Will that adapter on Summit fit both the Rochester and the 32/36 weber carbs. I can't decide which to go with, although I'm leaning towards the weber. I guess it comes down to which one will be the easiest to install without little if any modifications, just the adapter and I think an air cleaner for the weber.
Thanks again Frank for the knowledge and help.

Jeff, I don't know if it will work with the Weber. I don't have a small-6, only the truck engines. One of the guys who know will respond I'm sure.

Do you think I will need a distributor change if I go with a 2v swap?
Yes, do a new/rebuilt dizzy from wsa111👍. I did the Webber on my 67 mustang with no clearance issues and linkage was fairly simple. Much improved drivability with my 3 speed 😎

Does the Weber have the same base as the Rochester?

I don’t know, I would guess no. There has been a lot of chatter about rochester’s recently, I seem to remember “no”. It was mentioned once that it would, but that might have been a misunderstanding

That's good news about the clearance. What air cleaner did you go with? Did you have to change out all the jets on the Weber carburetor. I've seen a few videos on YouTube of guys having to put larger jets in for the 200. That's a definite on the distributer change on the 67? Where did you buy your weber kit with the adapter plate? I just want to do this once and do it right.
Thank you for the helpful information
Jeff

I used the Webber air cleaner that came with it. I got it as a kit from Clifford Performance. I told them what I had in my engine and they set it up before they shipped it. I ran it👍. Did very little adjusting. Remember to use threadloc on screws that hold the adapter down, mine worked loose causing a vacuum leak

That's great Clifford performance with put the larger jets in. So you bought the carb adapter plate and air cleaner from Clifford. That's what I want to do because I know if I go buying the parts from different places I'll screw, something up.
Thanks Don your a life saver.

Wow, that is a very cool set up. Did this carburater make a big difference in performance? If so could you send me a link to where you purchased that carburator. Also any info on DIY adapter plate.
Thank you for posting those awsome pics
Jeff
