Swapping crankshafts

Hey,

This post relates to my last posts about crankshaft improvements for the crossflow. Has anybody ever tried swapping a crankshaft from a later model falcon to allow a higher rev range? Also, how did you solve the breathing and valve train problems with higher revving?
 
HAVNT TRIED IT. BUT THINGS TO NOTE ON SWAPING CRANKS.


EA-EF. HAVE METRIC THREEDS FOR THE FLY WHEEL SO U WIIL NEED A EA FLY WHEEL, THE CROSSFLOW ONES HAVE BIGGER BOLTS

AND LATE EL- AU3 CRANKS ARE USELEES THEY RUN HEAPS BIGGER MAIN CAPS . AN AU CRANK WONT EVEN FIT IN A 250 BLOCK EVEN IF THE 250 BLOCK DOESNT HAVE BEARING SHEELS. AND THEY ARE FUCKâ„¢NG HEAVY. YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A STUPID AMOUNT MACHINED OF TO USE THEM I WOULDNT BOTHER WITH IT

I HAVNT FOUND ANY THING WRONG WITH THE 250 CRANK THERE LIGHTER WHICH IS WHAT WE ALL WANT. HAVNT HAD ONE BREAK SO I AINT CHANGING IT. I TOOK MINE TO GET BALANCED AND IT SPUN UP 100 PERCENT SPOT ON DIDNT NEED TO BE TOUCHED
 
An EB-EF crank will fit the late XF block from 10/87 build date. (casting number on the l/h/r of the block starts with 87DA) Takes the EA type rear main bearing oil seal.
