T3 turbine oil seal?

I am putting new seals in my T3, and I am wondering if there is supposed to be any sort of seal between the bearings and the turbine side besides the piston ring looking thing.

There is a groove that looks like it's for an Oring - but I can't find any sort of description of such a part in any of the stuff I see online.

Mine is leaking oil into the exhaust, so I am trying to figure out why.

Thanks.

No that is the only seal, are you sure the lube oil can drain away properly any back pressure will let the oil back up into the bearing then out into the turbine.

Bort, is it the seal marked at #3 from this schematic? I rebuilt mine about 8 months ago and I believe there was a metal o-ring (i guess that's what you would call it) that slips on the shaft. Kind of like a small piston ring.

X2 on that. Make sure your drain back into the engine is large enough and without too many restrictions. My drain is 3/4" fuel line and straight out of the turbo into the top of the oil pan with only one 45 degree bend in it.

Mine is -8 AN line that goes strait out and then turns 80* into the oil pan.

I doubt that's the problem - but maybe...
