Hey guys i had a few questions to help narrow down what my next mod will be -
For a T-5 conversion, currently i have an auto, will i have to shorten the drive shaft? If i bolt up an 8" rear, will my 4 lug wheels still fit?

Do you all recommend a turbo or supercharger? I am looking for MAXIMUM performance. I have Ross Racing forged pistons, polished rod beams, and Total Seal file fit rings, so boost pressure can be high. What is the approx. cost for such a setup, with inter-cooler etc.? Lastly, is this worth it rather than just a 100hp bolt on NOS system?
I really appreciate the help, sorry about all of the questions

1.) For a T5 yes you have to shorten the driveshaft.
2.) If you get a 8" from a Maverick with a 4-lug pattern yes your rims will fit. Or else all other 8" are 5 lug..
3.) I am thinking of a tubo myself. I have a 9.6 compression so I would have to keep the boost down but it will work. Most people like supercharger's. I don't know the total cost yet but my buddy has a spare tubo so that part will be free.
4.) It depends what kind of power you want. With a tubo or supercharger you always have the power. With NOS you use it when you want.

Hey 66mustang,
how much was it to do all that bottom end work?? The pistons, rings etc. I am lookin into boosting by next summer (supercharger) and I want to be able to get alot out of it

Actually, not all 8" are 4-lug. My '69 Fastback 'Stang (I6 of course) has a 8" with 4-lugs. Same thing with a '66 Coupe I6 Mustang w/8" I had a few years ago.

Edit: I meant to write that not all other 8" are 5-lug, as suggested above.

the pistons were $650
the rings were $170
polished rod beam, custom job
rest was your basic machine work, re-aligning rods, etc.
