Some here know that I love Lite-Sport and Ultra-Lite planes. I good friend of mine that is a retired commercial pilot but is still a flight instructor and pilot sent me these to watch.
This plane can change General Aviation to the point that people that always wanted to fly has a chance to afford it.

This new plane that I’m talking about flies 100+ mph on 2 gallons of 91 ethanol free octane pump gas or 100 octane av-gas per “HOUR”.

Their plane was in the works for over 15 years and it’s been kept secret for all those years. I think it’s one of the most beautiful small planes ever built.

I guess I might have to go back to work and buy one. “Yea, Right” My understanding is you can fly one of these without a medical.

watched snips of each clip - emphasizes not a kit , so how does it fit into GA, is it Experimental or equivalent to a Cessna or something in between?. FAA inspections as a production GA aircraft?.

I'm not well versed in aviation law / rules but spent some hours in my Bros. in law' self built 'experimental' and said building his plane was easier than keeping it legally in the air. Flying rear passenger in a Rutan LE is like lying in a canoe with the unmuffled engine a few inches behind as you pass 172's etc like a P51. Flying from Midwest and back to N.E., he would unmuflled buzz my house (legal height?) and I would pick him up at local airport. First time he buzzed, my neighbor came out said WTF is that looks like a star wars X-Wing fighter...

There is a new classification that many don’t know about.
I learned about this 2 years ago.
The classification is Lite-Sport. This means you can fly it with your drivers license. As long as a person is able to hold a driver’s license they do not need to pass a medical.
A person only needs 20 hours of flight instruction. (In real world, the normal time is around 30 hours for a student to be ready for solo)

the SE-1 looks single seat, maybe goes with no passengers allowed with Lite-Sport classification ?.

flew as passenger, with group of Long-EZ's from an EAA meet around N.E.. - Hi-speed descents to runway low pass and up again was awesome

Yes it is a single seater. This morning, my friend mentioned that you’re allowed to have one passenger with some Light-Sport planes. I guess lots of it has to do with meeting the weight limit.
